What is Connecticut Public’s Adult Learning Program?
Connecticut Public’s Adult Learning Program is an accredited school for adult learners who want to work in the media industry. Students receive advanced training from industry experts and gain 21st Century digital workforce skills.
Where is Connecticut Public’s Adult Learning Program?
The school is housed in Connecticut Public’s state-of-the-art Learning Lab, located at 1049 Asylum Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut. The space is equipped with ample classroom and studio space, as well as cutting-edge equipment, Emmy award-winning instructors and fellows dedicated to the craft of education.

What does Career Services do?
We offer students assistance with identifying employment goals and facilitating individual career development. Whether it’s translating a resume from military terms to corporate speak, preparing for an interview, or discussing further education options, Career Services will collaborate with students to implement his or her desired profession path.
Can you write a resume for me?
While the Career Services staff will teach you how to create and edit an effective resume, they will not write one for you. For document reviews (resume, cover letter, etc.), we request hard copies or for the document/s to be emailed. Please do not bring your document on a flash drive.
When can I start receiving job search assistance?
Job search assistance is available over the course of the semester as well as afterward. The majority of our students are employed or have assigned projects while they take our courses.
Can I come to you after I graduate?
Of course. Career Services are always available for program graduates.
Do you work with employers?
We work with various organizations across Connecticut. Students have the opportunity to network with local employers through seminars and other career service events.
Do you hold mock interviews or job fairs?
Yes. Make an appointment for a mock interview » We post all upcoming job fairs on our Professional Development & Leadership page and calendar. There is also staff available to attend job fairs for additional support.
Is a job guaranteed?
We make every effort to assist students in accomplishing their personal, academic, and career goals. However we do not guarantee a job placement or salary range. Every student meets with staff at regular intervals to provide support and guidance regarding their educational goals and progress.

What certifications can I receive?
Students are able to receive certifications in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Project Management.
